Using C-Kermit 7.0.196, 1 Jan 2000, for Solaris 2.x under Solaris
2.6, I did
kermit + fred.ksc >fred.lis &
and got the following output
line one
line two
DNS Lookup... Can't open connection to ts:3000
line three
in fred.lis.
